Preparing resilient learners in an ever changing world
'Vittoria Primary School is a happy place.' 'Pupils talk confidently and positively about the school.' Staff have high expectations for every pupil.' Leaders have made sure a broad curriculum is in place across the school.'OFSTED Oct 2021
At this week's sharing good work assembly Key Stage 2 showed some of what they have been learning this week. Year 3 explained how to design a balanced diet and a healthy meal. Year 4 described some work they had been doing separating various solids and liquids in science. Year 5 showed us some Victorian artefacts and explained how a washboard was used. Year 6 talked about the work they had been doing researching facts about World War 2 and writing them up in the style of a newspaper report. Also this week we had our annual visit from the London Fire Brigade who led some sessions with Years 2 and 5 about fire safety. Finally, at last, the children were able to get to play on the new playground structure! We have, initially at least, set up a class rota for children to use it, as it's proving very popular indeed.
