Spring One: 2022

Dear Parents / Carers

Happy New Year to you all! I hope you had a restful and enjoyable winter break.

I think the Spring Term is a terrific one. The weather gets a little warmer, and the daylight hours continue to increase! It will also be an incredibly busy term for us in Year Two!

In Maths, we will be looking at Multiplication and Division.

In Literacy, we will be looking at Letter Writing, Newspaper Reports and Play Scripts

In Topic, we have a Geography based topic on the Continents, and Pirates!

We are also very excited to be starting our new Phonics Scheme, Read Write Inc.

We are now instilling a fine of 50p per lost or damaged Reading Record, and £2 per lost of damaged Phonics Book, so please keep these safe. Water bottles must be kept out of Book Bags, as they often leak and result in a damaged book.

Spellings will be given out every Monday and tested on every Friday

We will be visiting the School library every Wednesday, so please ensure your child brings their book in on that day, in order to exchange it for a new one

Homework will be given out every Friday to be completed by Wednesday. It is not meant to be too taxing of strenuous for the children, it is instead meant to be consolidation for the learning we have done, and hopefully a chance for for children to impress you!

If you need anything please do not hesitate to ask

Kind Regards

Miss Khan
