Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you had a restful and enjoyable Summer Half Term. I cannot quite believe we are in our final term in Term Two, it has flown by! Following the huge success of our KS1 SATS exams, the students deserve a superb final Half Term in Key Stage One. Here is what we will be up to:
Maths: Our Maths topics for this Summer Half Term are directional language, and looking at volume and mass.
Literacy: Our writing topics for this Summer Half Term will be a Postcard and a Newspaper Report. We will also be starting Shakespeare, looking at A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Topic: Our Topic for this final Half Term is Wonderful Women. We will be looking at Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole.
Spellings will go out every Monday and we will test the students on Thursday.
We will change our reading books every Tuesday and Friday, but please ensure your student has their reading record every day incase we change books more frequently. Please be aware that there are now fines for lost Reading Records (50p) and books lost or damaged (£2).
I am looking to having a terrific Half Term with this wonderful Class
